DistantVisit's account

DawnLight has a problem - someone always gets into his accounts. This time he's come back as DistantVisit - he's definitely a good person to approve, but what if the 'hacker' uses his account to vandalize the wiki? Yes, I know that the edits can be reverted and the account banned - but I just wanted to bring this up. Should we approve DistantVisit?
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 23:49, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Should we go and talk to DistantVisit?
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 23:54, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Hmm - I didn't know that. That is familiar... No, don't ask him. I'll talk to JSO about it.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 01:29, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Poor DawnLight...
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 02:34, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Hang on... Surely if his/her account keeps getting stolen, DistantVisit should simply changer his/her password? Or is it not as simple as that?
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 07:21, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
From what DawnLight said, on the school computers the 'hacker' has a program that registers keystrokes, so it'll find his password. Well, that's DawnLight's guess. I don't know why he doesn't use a home computer, but there's probably a reason.
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 07:33, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Actually, it turns out it was just that the cache of the web browser in my school was never deleted so when I clicked "Sign Out" it just logged me back straight on. Someone abused it and made it look like I said disrespectful comments. I never will log onto the school computer ever again. And, I have always used my home computer. It's just that I used to also use the school computer at school during lunch. I won't be doing that anymore.

Is there any one that could create the Lego WeDo article?

I think it'd be good if the article were written by someone that has Lego WeDo... anyone?

Use LEGO Education WeDo Robotics Kit for the article name. :)
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 08:59, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

I know you have one, Lucario... :P
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 07:18, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Lowercasing words

I was looking through one of those "Manuals of style", and it said that in (for example) 2nd headers, you lowercase all words except for the first one unless BLAH BLAH BLAH stuff like names. We have a lot of work to do...
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 22:55, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

O_o We'll have to search all 1,119 articles! :O
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 22:58, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
Hey, it's nice - it's worth it! :D
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 22:58, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

All block articles done... hey, that didn't take long. xD Now for more...
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 23:10, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

Nononononononono undoundoundoundoundo DX... it's better the way it was before.... sheesh can you guys wait for my approval on something? >.>
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 00:38, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Say what's so bad and maybe it'll be reverted... sir, or whatever you want to be called. >_>
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 01:07, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
If it was from one of this wiki guides for making your wiki good, I'd expect that we should follow it... anyway, I think it looks much nicer when it's lowercased. Could you give a reason why it's so bad? I don't want to revert the edits unless there's a good reason.
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 01:09, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Chrischb - don't look at the other wikis. Let me deal with that. The way it works on this wiki, is that it's all uppercase, except for prepositions that are less than 5 letters. We went over that before in a previous discussion "About uncapitalizing some words in article names". It works essentially like Movie titles, as section headers are that important.
Chrischb, you've been on the wiki for quite a while. YOU KNOW that the rule is if you're going to make a major change or a change that may require hundreds of edits throughout different articles, than you ask on the community portal for everybody else's opinion - that includes me, the head bureaucrat. On one of the previous discussions, I saw you guys made a whole decision all by yourselves; I wasn't pleased with it, but you got lucky, and you made the right decision. But this time you didn't.
I'm not trying to be mean and treat you like little kids and watch over you a ton - but I don't want you guys to accidentally wasting your time to do all of the work, and then waste more time undo-ing it. And an excuse for not undoing it being "it would take too much work" is not an excuse - it already took a lot of work to do it. I hope you understand,
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 20:54, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
... Fine. I don't see the point arguing, except for "that means me, the head bureaucrat". That seems a bit of declaring yourself the leader of this wiki, contradicting what you wrote yourself in the FAQ:
But as for this site having a leader (elected or not), we have none. There are users who have different access powers (as mentioned above), and we have a founder from the original Scratch Wiki, LukeTek, although, he is retired. The Scratch Wiki is not run by a leader, webmaster, president, or anything of the sort. Decisions are made democratically by the community.
There's no leader. On another bit, I guess that maybe this case wasn't such a community decision, involving five or so people, but that never happens anymore... usually two or so, which is also here.
Oh, and who made the rules? Was that a community decision as well?
And I'm glad you hope I understand. But I don't.
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 21:48, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Another thing: You say that I know that decisions are to be discussed in the community portal. You know what I did in the past? I asked you. Only for the past few times I've done it here. And you never minded...
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 21:50, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
And another thing: Some pages already had the titles done this way - it was rather mixed up throughout the wiki. Why wasn't anything done then, if it matters this badly?
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 21:52, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
This is getting a bit far. Well, I suppose that it wasn't a democratic discussion... I should have seen that and waited for more people. Dx
However, sometimes (only sometimes) I feel like you're becoming a sort of leader - sometimes it looks like your opinion is higher than others. xD
Now, just something to think about - have you noticed how other wikis all seem to use the lowercase?
I can't find that discussion you talked about... where is that?
Can we have a community discussion if the rule should change or not? That's way more fair.
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 22:00, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
I rollbacked... ten? I'm stopping for now; lots of pages were like that anyway, so what? Really, this is stupid.
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 22:01, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Meh, I'll wait for WeirdF - he's got the most sense of all of us.
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 22:03, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
I'm sorry; maybe I over-exaggerated over that point of me being the head leader. Anyway, the main thing is, you know how big this kind of change. It's as big as a change that would make all pages capitalized. It's a lot of work. So just because your bro agrees, doesn't mean that you should jump to conclusions xD We've had better discussions on the wiki before; so let's try to keep it that way. (btw who's older? :P) Besides, I'd rather you guys focus more on content work and stuff :).
And, what do you mean "Who made the rules; was that a community decision as well?". I'd say it sort of was. Why, do you disagree that we should always have community decisions before making major changes to the wiki? Probably not.
Waiting for me when making a community decision isn't a rule necessarily; however if you don't and you make a big mistake which is more likely to happen if you don't wait for me, than you're more likely to make me disappointed and slightly angry at you guys for not waiting for me. And then I'll have to make this whole speech again D:
After all, there is nothing really rushing you do make major changes to the wiki; in the mean time you can edit general content articles and stuff :). So it won't hurt.
As far as being a leader, I'm trying to make the margin between you guys and me as small as possible, but when it comes down to it, if there's a three or four way tie between us the admins; I am the overall decider. Unless there's Andres. He's higher than me in that way. Now do I question why is his opinion more important than mine? No, I understand that his is more important.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 22:18, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
And you mentioned "Some pages already had the titles done this way - it was rather mixed up throughout the wiki. Why wasn't anything done then, if it matters this badly?". Well, the thing is you guys are pretty fast/crazy/awesome wiki editors (:D), so I honestly haven't looked over every single article to notice something like that. The main time I noticed it was when I was "All about Scratch". That made me Scratch my head.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 22:22, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
AGHHHHHHHHHH EVERY TIME I SHOUT AND GET REPLIED TO I FEEL BADDDDDDDDDDD :( :( :( :( I'M SORREH
Eh... I'll reply in paragraphs. This is hard...
1. Sorry... I didn't think it was a major change, like moving templates to the top. :( (About who's older - none... yay for twinness. :D But being specific, me by three minutes :3)
2. I don't mean that I disagree; I was just wondering if the capitalization rule you mentioned was the result of a community discussion. ^^
3. Better be careful then. ^^
4. I don't know what to say. xD
5. Sorry for always trying to jump higher... the intention there isn't to get POWAH, but because being bossed around by non-Scratch Team member doesn't feel as trustworthy. xP
6. Eh, that wouldn't have been us actually. XD We always capitalized them the way you did. :P Thanks for the compliment though. ^^
7. Uh... so we start rollbacking now? :O :P *tries not to be lazy xD*
Gonna start undoing the edits... thank you so much for that rollback tool. xD
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 05:32, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Done... that gave me what, 120 more edits? Now I have over 2000. xD
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 05:43, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Bad, bad news... when I rollbacked the edits, I also rollbacked harmless revisions to articles... rollbacking doesn't just undo the most recent edit (what we wanted) - in some articles it undoed more than that. >_<
I've undoed some rollbacks and edited things manually, but this is, just... >_<
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 09:36, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Grr... I'm going to have to undo all my rollbacks and do the stuff manually... >_< xD
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 05:36, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I only had to undo the rollbacks that got rid of other edits. Anyway - all the stuff 'deleted' by the rollbacks is fixed now. :)

Editing restrictions?

As I was looking through the wiki for things that I may edit, I was wondering if there is any restriction on editing any types of articles? I'm just asking beforehand so I don't end up editing something that anyone wouldn't like to be changed. Thanks for your answer ahead of time. ---DistantVisit 23:14, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
There aren't really many restrictions. You probably shouldn't edit one's userpage, because it's their own page, and they probably want it the way that it is. Also templates shouldn't be messed around with unless you're sure what you're doing; they can end up messing up many pages at once if you mess it up. Other than that, go free, be bold! If you do make a mistake, the other will always fix it. That's what a wiki is all about! :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 01:57, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
If we didn't want you to edit a page, we'd lock it. xD
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 05:47, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the quick response, guys. It's nice to be in a community this great. :) ---DistantVisit 14:47, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
The number of dedicated Wiki editors is quite small, it's nice to have somebody else as well! :)
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 15:48, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, WierdF. This is actually my first time ever contributing to any Wiki so it's a new experience every day for me. But with a helpful community such as this one I should be able to become as good as you guys in no time. I plan to come daily and look for anything that may have to be edited or added as I mentioned on my User Page. :)

Wiki Page URL's

As I was looking through a page full of all of the articles on this wiki, I noticed a lot of the url's have many misspellings. Is it somehow possible to fix the url of the existing article or are you going to have to save all the coding of the page, delete the article and then remake it with the correct url? ---DistantVisit 16:21, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

To move an article to another title, click the move button above the article. You don't have to be an administrator to do this. However if you do move an article make sure you change all of the associated redirects. :)
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 16:32, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, for the update. I never saw the move button until you mentioned it :P. This is going to be a bit of a big thing to do since many are mispelled, but I'll do it one by one. Another question: Is there a way to somehow find all of the associated redirects easily? Sorry, for all the questions it's just I rather be safe than sorry. :)
---DistantVisit 16:54, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Not it's okay, I don't mind helping! :)
At the top of every page, to the left of an article, there are two boxes, one is titled "Navigation," and the other "Toolbox." Under toolbox there is an option which says "What links here." It does what it says, and shows you all the articles that link to a page. Check this list before moving a page, all the ones that have "redirect page" in brackets next to them are the redirects. Although doing it with any article is simple, all you have to do is enter this URL into your address bar: http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/PAGE NAME
In fact I know I said redirects, but it is also a good idea to change all the links that linked to the article. Don't worry if you don't do all of them, other editors can help as well.
Also, there are some redirect pages which are misspelling redirects, these pages have titles that are spelled incorrectly so that people who misspell things in the search bar are redirected to the correct spelling. Don't change those titles.
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 17:00, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
I was wondering what those misspellings that seemed to be intentional were for. Thanks for being so helpful. :) ---DistantVisit 17:15, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

User Page Redirects

Uh-oh! I was creating some user redirects for Lucario621, Chrischb, Jonathanpb and I. I was about to make one for WeirdF but I saw the deletion log that said we aren't supposed to make those... I didn't know! Sorry... Can an Admin delete those please? :) Jwosty 01:07, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Okey dokey :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 01:28, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! :D Jwosty 13:20, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

"Until" in article names should be capitalized

The rule the community of ours made in a previous discussion is that any prepositions less than 5 characters should be lowercase - so this one is 5 characters, so it should arguably be uppercase. I noticed it before, but I was lazy before, and only decided to start working on it until now. Right now I did "Repeat Until" :). If one of the other admins could continue with the other articles, such as "Wait Until" and such, it would be appreciated. (Admin because it might require deleting some pages).
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 01:25, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

In addition "Point towards" should have towards capitalized :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 01:27, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Can I haz link? :3
And I'll get to work. :D
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 05:52, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Hang on... how do I find them? xD
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 05:53, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
I'll use Random Page for now. :) By the way, I'll also be getting similar stuff too...
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 05:55, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Fixed "Point Towards ()" and "Color () is Touching ()" - I think that's all. :)
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 07:46, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Jonathanpb :). I know it's kind of tiring, because there's so many articles that you have to fix the links on >.<. But I do appreciate it. But there's also "Wait Until ()" ;) You have to fix that.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 16:57, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Fixed. ^^
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 23:14, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Will there be articles on the archived forums eventually?

Yeah... if so, I'll put links in the Forums template.
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 06:56, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

I'll make articles on them once I work my way to them. ;)
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 07:03, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Hmm. Good question. For now, don't, just keep it how it is on the forums template, right now I am deciding...
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 16:51, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Heh, I wanted advice so I asked the Scratch Team, and they said it was up to me Dx. Because these articles are still part of these forums, however most users cannot post in them anymore, I have decided not to have any articles on them, however there articles that WOULD be there, would redirect to an article called "Archived Forums" :). So there would be a section for each forum :D. Hope that works,
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 03:31, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
xD They were so helpful. :P I'll put the [broken] link in. :)
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 03:57, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

New image....

File:Front_Page.png - if one of you guys could just crop it a bit, or rather, just update it with a new image of the homepage, I'd really appreciate it. Because having it so long isn't really needed...
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 03:38, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

Aw, I like it the way it is... ^_^ Do we really have to change it? :3
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 05:51, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Well there's lots of new things on the front page, like a link to the Wiki and other stuff, so it probably should be changed...
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 12:10, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, like WeirdF said. And as I mentioned, it's weird to have an image THAT big...
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 16:56, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
What can I trim off the image? All of it looks good to keep. :/
Anyway, the image is a thumbnail in articles - so it looks okay (in my opinion). :P
Whatever, just tell me what to trim off and I'll do it...
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 06:43, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Things Removed on the Community Moderator article

Everything I wrote about the Moderator Forum and dustbin was removed from this article because apparently it "helps trolls." How can simply knowing about it help trolls?
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 16:09, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure, but having that information public doesn't seem right... :/ Jwosty (talk contribs) 16:14, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
Well it's the Wiki, I mean the point of the Wiki is that it's about every aspect of Scratch. And the moderator forum and dustbin are part of Scratch even if technically they're meant to be secret.
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 16:20, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
The Moderators agreed that content like this should not be public. It's not because it's possible to write something, that you should. Say there would be an exploit to hack people's accounts, would it be ok to make it public on this wiki - (basically) another part of the Scratch Website? JSO 18:22, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
Will this be removed after the discussion is over? xP
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 00:09, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Nah, I think it'll be fine :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 00:15, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Is it right to give out secret information? The Dustbin is a secret thing kept to moderators - it wouldn't be right to just blab about it.
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 00:17, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Well, read what JSO said. The moderators agreed that content like this should not be public. So 'nuff said - no dustbin or mod forum stuff. Pretty self explanatory.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 00:20, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
What about the powers of moderators? Or screenshots of what a forum looks like to a mod?

Semi-Protecting Misspelling Redirects

I know it's a big job, so if nobody else can be bothered, I'll do it by myself, and that's fine. But I think that Misspelling Redirects should be semi protected. So that new, unexperienced users who think that the titles are spelled incorrectly accidentally, may move the title.
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 16:29, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

I don't really think it's that necessary. If you see somebody fixing them, just undo the edits and tell them why they shouldn't on their talk page :).
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 19:13, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
I don't think it's necessary... besides, we can simply revert the edits and tell them to stop.
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 00:16, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Aww... Pwease can I do it?
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 16:34, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
No. "Aww... Pwease" is not a reason; sorry. Luc has an immunity to the puppy eyes xD

Approving accounts

There have been some issues. (This only really applies to admins). Here's the thing. You guys are good at making decisions of who to let in the wiki, and who to not. :) However, if you see "[set back to pending by Lucario621]" or JSO or andresmh, then that means I have decided that you guys need to approve it; whether they have enough projects or not; we have personally decided that they would be helpful for the wiki. Sometimes, we may have personally invited them to the wiki to help on certain articles (such as RPGing), so if you see what I just mentioned, than you need to approve them; that means everyone. Thanks,
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 00:27, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Yes boss. ^_^ :3
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 00:44, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Eh... if you guys have the time to set it to pending, why don't you just approve them yourself? xD Meh, I'll try and remember. :) But does this mean our decision with those accounts isn't worth counting? (I'm not trying to start another war here! :O)
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 00:45, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
*laughs* I was wondering why they didn't create accounts anymore. xD :)
Chris, I don't think it's that our opinion doesn't count... it's more of them correcting us.
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 00:47, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Though it would be less confusing if you guys simply created those accounts instead of setting them back to pending. :)
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 00:47, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Accounts created! :D But one of them seemed to only want to make articles on Anthros Unite charries... :P (I approved it though. :))
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 00:50, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Well, it is good to get people to expand certain articles... I'm sure that most of us would be stuck when it comes to expanding the Anthros Unite article. :P
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 00:51, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Oh wait, I reread Lucario's message. Stupid me. >_< (we should stop chatting...)
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 00:57, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Eh. I don't know why I don't approve them :P - I just feel lazy sometimes :P. If you REALLY think the user should not be added to the wiki and that Lucario621 was crazy to approve it for some reason, then yes you can create a discussion and set it back to on hold, but unless so, than just approve it :).
As far as just editing Anthros Unite article - then may it be! I specially asked users on that RPG to join the Scratch Wiki so they would contribute to the article a bit and help; as they are the experts ;).
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 00:59, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
@First paragraph: LOLZZZ The way you said that was epic. xD
@Second paragraph: Oh! ^^

Wow - I just can't picture you going to Anthros Unite and asking people to join. :P (That wasn't an insult)
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 01:03, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Heh, yeah :P. I just asked nice and kindly though :P. But the comments go down pretty fast - like a comment a minute? Lol. Explains why there's over 5000 pages :P (BTW, because you two were posting so much in the past ten minutes, I was like getting 10 edit conflicts xD)

WHAT??? EVEN FLAG RPG CAN'T DO THAT :O (BTW, sorry... xD)
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 01:07, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Wow. I just checked, and... 6587 pages? And it really is a comment a minute. I'm glad that's not Flag RPG...
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 01:09, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Yea, that would be a pain to read... :P Jwosty (talk contribs) 01:14, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
I added the message so we can sometimes set accounts back to pending, and show you we did :) JSO 14:57, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Flag RPG?

MUAHAHAHAHAHA BOW DOWN TO MAH RPGNESS :D :D :D

Somewhere someone said that big RPGs get articles created on them. Am I allowed to make one for Flag RPG someday? It has 530 pages or so, 13200 posts or so, and is growing. :D It has a ton of charries, users, and the like. :) Survivorduck made an [interactive] art project for it, and I might do the same. :D

If it keeps growing can I make an article? :D
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 01:06, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Actually - yes :). (I added this discussion back - it deserved a thought). At first I thought it was just a TBG game - but obviously I never looked at the thread in my life xD. So yeah - it is a true and RPG. Thus, even though it's on the forums, it still deserves the title as an RPG, thus it deserves an article :)

What he said. :S Jwosty (talk contribs) 01:50, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
xD I'm so embarassed now that you brought it back. :P
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 05:27, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Thankies! :D At what point should I make the article? Once it passes the old WOTF RPG thread in activity?
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 05:27, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
I wrote it in my sandbox... Clicky!
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 05:40, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
I think you could make the article right now...
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 07:31, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Definitely, create the thread as soon as possible! BTW, what is the longest thread in the TBG? :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 19:46, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Flag RPG. 8D
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 06:18, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
Oh, because it said it wasn't the longest forum thread ever, because it is (at least on the scratch forums). :)
